I had Shannon for my midwife during my second pregnancy. I felt comfortable with her right away. She always explained all of my options to me and I was able to make all of my own decisions without any judgement from her. I looked forward to prenatal appointments with her – we talked through all of my concerns, fears, and excitement. As labor came, she encouraged me so much! I had a very rough labor and especially long pushing stage but Shannon was reassuring and gave me strength. My baby girl was born on November 19th, 2012 at 9 lbs 6 oz. I know that without Shannon, my birth experience would not be as blessed as it was. After birth she stayed by my side physically & emotionally and made sure I was taken care of. I was treated so well throughout my entire pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I could not have asked for more. Shannon will always be my midwife and a very true friend.
