The Countdown is ON!

As we are in the final 15 days before we fly overseas to Scotland, we are making many preparations! We update our private Facebook group daily, and if you are not part of it and want to be, let us know. In the past month we have turned in the keys to our apartment, moved in with my (Chris) parents, sold the rest of our items, completed lots of packing and sorting, and pre-sold our van! A lot has happened since the last blog, and we look forward to updating everyone! This month with all the busyness we will make the reading minimal and instead share pictures of everything happening! We appreciate every single person who is walking this road with us whether it be financially or in prayer. We want to make sure the word is out, so as we begin, please make sure to check out the pictures below of the upcoming events planned:

Great News!

Over the past few months we’ve reached out for prayer and received answers! Here’s some of the answers!

Here’s a peek at the house! (From listing online, vehicle is not ours of course)

We also put down a deposit this month on a vehicle as we raise the funds to pay for it! As we type this, we have raised almost 40% of the $25,000 to cover expenses.

The next several weeks we expect will be busy, so if it seems we fell off the side of the world, don’t be surprised! Our cell phone numbers will be disconnected, our Apple ID’s and iMessage may change, and general transitions may keep us a bit occupied as we set up our new home. Please stay connected on our email list and on our private Facebook page to receive updated information if you want it! The Facebook page is the top way to stay connected with us and up-to-date with all the happenings! Our email addresses will still work, but we will update other contact information through those sources rather than posting on our blog or website.

Every day at the moment seems to hold something new for us, whether it is saying goodbyes, making plans, preparing boxes or bags, sorting, or having conversations, time has moved quick! It feels like it was just yesterday that we were in North Carolina!

Over the next few weeks we will have a few more meetings and then launch overseas and begin serving alongside Village Church in Oldmeldrum as we begin the process of integration into our new culture.

Prayer Needs:

1) Pray for the travel! From driving to the airport, to the goodbyes, to the bag drop off, to security, for the flight to London, to make it on time and to our second flight to Aberdeen.

2) For all the goodbyes, grieving, leaving, and also the new. There’s a lot of emotions and feelings involved.

3) For the other small details to work themselves out! We are still working on sorting this and that.

4) For the final part of our monthly support to be raised and for our upfront goal to raise, which is for our relocation costs and a ministry vehicle. Our monthly support budget is our minimum monthly support budget to cover costs of serving in Scotland.
